Redesigning an Electric Transportation Website

Evan was tasked with creating a website redesign for Levo Mobility, an electric vehicle company for public transportation. He brought life to their site while working within the parameters of their current site content and brand guidelines.

The Challenge

Evan was challenged with refreshing the look of the Levo Mobility site while holding on to its integrity and brand guidelines. Holding on to this integrity included the limited color scheme and “school chalkboard” feel.

While having good bones, the site was very text-heavy with little visual interest. The goal was to highlight Levo more clearly and induce the child-like wonder of their audience, while keeping the same content from the original site.

Solution

To help fix the strain of the text and list-heavy layout, Evan used chunking and visual imagery to keep the user attentive. He also added more contrast between sections in order to guide the viewers' attention.

Visual Style

The visual style was crafted to evoke a sense of childlike fun and education. Although the primary users of the site are school-board employees rather than children, the goal was to maintain a simple and professional appearance, while incorporating subtle accents and undertones of the imaginative atmosphere found on a school bus.
